Jamis' Ventura bikes borrow heavily from the race-proven geometry of their Xeniths and Icons to help keep you in front on the local Saturday ride. But they've softened the edges of that geo just a bit for a more comfortable and confident ride so you can head out again on Sunday, still fresh and ready to hammer your buddies one more time. The Sport model features a smooth Shimano Claris drivetrain and high-quality Jamis components.

Comments:
Bought as a 1st road bike in 30 years. I have been very happy thus far. Have about 350 miles on it and goes about it's business just fine. Could use a tune up but that is to be expected. Not the fanciest bike by any stretch, but it is very light and perfect for getting exercise. Typically I ride road, sometimes bike path. If anything a bit to fast for shared use path.Do feel a lot of vibration on rough surfaces, but I can't compare to carbon fork. May do some upgrades in future, but I am very happy with the frame and have no need to upgrade there.

This is my first road bike and I have to say I love it. This bike has everything a road bike needs. Even though I added some extras it it still very light. I would say about 25 pounds. Overall this bike will fit your needs in a road bike and you will love it.

I got this bike for Christmas and i love it. I road it for about 2 miles and it felt great. The derailer is a little iffy but i just need to get it adjusted. Other than that the bike is awesome. I can't wait to take it for a long ride.

Comments:
I use this bike for training purposes and long-distance rides in addition to commuting. I am crazy about it ! I think that for the price the Ventura is an excellent bargain. The components work well together and the ride is great. It is also strong and solid enough for me (I weigh 250 lbs.). I have found few bikes in this price range with carbon front forks.
