It's always easier to hammer when you've got the right tools! Luckily, you've got Specialized's ultra-efficient and super-comfortable Women's Pro Road Shoes to take care of the job. They feature Specialized's Body Geometry ergonomics with advanced FACT carbon soles for incredible pedaling efficiency and their Micromatrix synthetic-leather/mesh uppers with superb ventilation and suppleness for outstanding comfort. I LOVE Specialized shoes. I've had my road shoes for 5 years and hated to have to get new ones. I use Specialized shoes for Spin Classes in the winter. I would say I am dedicated; so is my husband - he wears them exclusively too. So I was disappointed in these. I think the quality was good, but the sizing seems completely off. I got the same size I always wear, but they aren't the same. My main issue is I have a narrow foot - but I can hardly close the velcro straps so they 'hook' - the straps are really short. I'm not sure whose feet these are made for, but not mine - so who can wear them?! That's a big design flaw in my book. I've worn these on a couple of rides and they just seem way too tight even with my thin Summer socks. I also do not care for the design changes to the sliding 'buckle' part by my ankle - the part where you can click to tighten or loosen the shoe has changed and doesn't function well. Overall the design changes to the strapping system are a miss. Boo! Sadly, I'll have to return these when I need to be out riding and won't have shoes now! Plus, I may perhaps try a different brand because I don't care for the new closure systems on the other Women's shoes Specialized offers; I prefer the three strap method. I don't think in time I will get used to the flaws on this pair as I had hoped, they are affecting my foot comfort on my rides.
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend
