Comfortable, good beginner clipless shoe

By MTB365

from Tallahassee, FL

About Me

Comments:

The shoe is comfortable for cycling and walking but it is fairly soft for serious riding. Furthermore my right shoe develops a squeak mid-ride. I've checked the cleat and it is in place and tight. It is quit annoying since I like things to be as silent as possible (limited chain slap etc.) This is probably a defect in my shoe and wont happen to yours. Now I'm looking to upgrade.

A great product for a great price

About Me

Comments:

Purchased a pair of Tahoe as I am new to a clip system in cycling. The Tahoe offered a great choice of whether I wanted to go with a clip or clipless system. I decided to go without it at first and they were great both on and off the bike. They offer super grip in wet conditions especially when pushing the bike. I was so impressed that I went out and bought another pair, this time with the cut out tabs removed and the cleats placed in. I have tried them out and they are perfect. A great job done by the Specialized team. Kudos and thank you.

The Tahoe is very comfortable and an excellent value.

About Me

Comments:

I have wide feet and most cycling shoes are very narrow, the Tahoes are wider in the toe box and very pleasant to workout in. The design of the shoe accommodates my orthotic. I only use them for spinning and they have enhanced my workouts.

    Perfect Training Shoe

      Comments:

I feel like this shoe was designed for endurance riding in mind. It weighs slightly more than the average cycling shoe which makes it probably one of the best shoes for long-distance training. It's a comfortable shoe at a great price, and should be considered if cycle-touring is your thing. I feel that the velcro is a bit unnecessary but that is just my personal opinion. I recommend this shoe to anyone who wants a proper training shoe for touring.

      Comments:

Shoes are extremely comfortable, even after a steady 3 hour 40 mile ride. Comfortable off the bike and very easy to walk in. I wish my regular shoes were this comfortable. Well ventilated, foot never became hot. Shoes have great traction. Never slipped even when putting foot down in gravel. I use clips and I found the shoe a little tricky to get into the clips due to the soles having such great traction.

I have really wide feet and this is the only biking shoe that I could fit into! Therefore if you have wide feet, this is the shoe for you! Love it
