Set your little rider up right with Cannondale's Trail 20 Single Speed. A lightweight aluminum frame rolls on strong 20-inch wheels with grippy Cannondale tires. A one-speed drivetrain keeps everything simple and minimizes maintenance, while the rear coaster brake and front hand brake help kids transition from foot to hand controls.
I reluctantly bought this for my 5 Y0 son. It was difficult to swallow the price but I was tired of buying a new bike every 6 months and they were all heavy and hard to balance. He rode this with training wheels for about two days, and about 10 minutes with only one training wheel and he has been tearing up the cul-de-sac since! He had a "Cars" bike and some other 12" before that, the Cars bike he was ready to take the wheels off but it was heavy and he was too tall for it so I bought this. He is now 6 and he still tearing up the street and empty lots now, only issue that has developed is the end of the handlebar grips are a bit jacked up from laying it down. The only real item of issue is the rear axle kickstand, it is difficult to kick back, it is getting easier as he gets bigger but even for me it takes a pretty good whack to get it to move. He really loves his bike and I am happy with the purchase.
Bottom LineYes, I would recommend this to a friend
